Web 2.0 Workshops                    icon new
Technology and the way information is created, used, and disseminated have changed. The first step you can take in understanding the potential for Web 2.0 tools in education, is to learn about them. To help provide some background and bring you up to speed, we are offering a brief technology information session titled "Web 2.0: Connecting...Creating...Contributing", on both campuses. The information session is geared for faculty, but staff are certainly welcome to attend. This is not a hands-on session (the rest of the Web 2.0 sessions are).

Please note: The focus of the workshops geared towards use of "Web 2.0" tools in education is not specific to just one particular tool or company. The concepts and guidelines presented can be used with any tool. We have decided on a few specific companies that we feel may work best for faculty and students. However, because of the constant evolution of the Internet, and Web 2.0 tools in general, use of the specific companies mentioned below may change.
